Employees of the Center for Student Health (CSH) of the Scientific and Research Department organized and conducted a number of events dedicated to the International Day of Health. Clinical interns of the department of faculty medicine and volunteer students trained at the CSH, including both Russian and Indian students, took an active part in the implementation of these activities.
On the eve of the holiday, interactive sites operated on the territory of the university, where everyone could replenish their knowledge of the principles of a healthy lifestyle. In the territory of the main educational building, the doctors of the Center for Scientific and Technological Research of the Scientific and Research Department organized stationary diagnostic points where employees and students could learn about possible warning signals from health. Health resources were assessed, including the determination of vascular age, metabolic and psychological parameters, as well as parameters of the structural composition of the body.
In parallel with the main activities, a Health Week was held in the main building of the Department of Medicine, in which students underwent a number of diagnostic activities – screening of cardiovascular risk factors: dyslipidemia, vascular stiffness, poor nutrition, stress, etc.
In Russia 2019, World Health Day is dedicated to healthy eating. Students of the foreign faculty prepared a project on traditional taste habits “Herb alchemy. Spices and herbs in your kitchen: from seasonings to medicine. “As part of the project, students treated everyone to traditional Indian dishes prepared.
On Friday, together with the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk Diocese, Archpriest Maxim Potupchik held a student round table on healthy eating from the perspective of the richest culinary experience of various traditional religions of all mankind.
